The downtown stadium means more debt, fewer services to combat crime and homelessness, fewer libraries, and support for the city:
A significant portion of our city bonds will be sold to support the stadium, leaving the cabinets dry – we don’t even have a community pool for the city because of budget constraints!
The City and consultants are using Knoxville as the COMP stadium:
Everett Total Budget: 84 million with Real Estate Purchases and Business relocation.

- Architecture, design and engineering: $8.4 million
- Project management: $1.6 million
- Additional soft costs: $2.2 million
- Total: $113.95 million
This was 2023 – the current budget is 44 million total for construction. It doesn’t even cover materials at the costs 3 years ago – let alone now with inflation and costs increases.
The Aquasox / Soccer teams themselves will increase prices as every other team has done:

This positive price effect could be due to the higher willingness to pay for the benefits of proximity to a new stadium.3 It is important to note that the impact of new sports stadiums on property values is complex and can be influenced by various factors, including the success and popularity of the sports teams or events hosted there.3
This location and proposal makes no Sense – we can’t afford it as people going to a game, business located in Everett, Citizens paying property taxes which will face continued pressure of increases.
